Under the title Opening The Gates, the 13th edition of PhotoIreland Festival presents the most comprehensive overview on the History and Practice of Photography in Ireland to date, running 7th July to 28th August 2022 in various locations, with the main venue at The Printworks, Dublin Castle.
Eamonn Doyle will present a nine screen video installation displaying photographs from his series Made In Dublin at The Printworks in Dublin Castle, home of the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Ireland.
Jean Curran will be exhibiting two pieces from her upcoming body of work Godard/Bardot as part of the festival's main exhibition Images Are All We Have - tracing the thematic development of Irish Photography and contextualising its historical background within Ireland's contemporary art practices. Curran will also be kicking off the festival's Artist Talk series on Saturday July 9th with David Flood.
