2015 has been a very busy year for the gallery with a multitude of projects on the go. We have been looking at great work from Latin America, Chantal Fabres has curated a fantastic show and we hope you will enjoy the fruits of her labor when we open in October.
I have been travelling in Mexico and also in Japan finding wonderful photography to bring back to London. The two cultures are so different but have both produced extraordinarily talented artists. Some are sadly no longer with us, but we are delighted to be working with the Kati Horna Estate in Mexico, D.F. and the Masahisa Fukase Archive in Tokyo.
We are honoured to have been appointed the official European representative of Eikoh Hosoe. Having admired Hosoe for many years, we are eager to show you his work, which we will have in the gallery later this year.
Our new website has been receiving great comments from our friends. We hope you find it easy to use and also informative. It is still being worked on, so please do let us know if you find any holes. It seems a full time job keeping it up to date!
This year's Rencontres d'Arles is under new management with Sam Stourdzé at the helm and although extremely hot, some of the shows are tremendous such as Alex Majoli and Paolo Pellegrin's Congo; the Japan show curated by Simon Baker and the brilliant Stephen Shore exhibition. There is so much to see I would give yourself at least two days.
We wish you a wonderful and peaceful break and very much look forward to seeing you after the summer.
